Hello! My name is Sabine Linn (she/her). Driven by a passion for creativity and innovation, I bring a diverse range of professional skills to the field of art and culture. With a contemporary and global perspective on art and cultural history such as diversity, inclusion, and decoloniality, I engage with current discourses and movements to open new perspectives and inspire reflection.

I have worked on exhibitions and projects dedicated to both modern and contemporary art in a global context. My skills include curating and presenting artworks, as well as organizing and executing art, design and cultural projects, events, and educational activities at museums, galleries, and other cultural institutions. Currently I am open to job opportunities in Germany and worldwide.

My expertise encompasses the curation and project management - including research, conceptualization, planning and execution - of art exhibitions as well as art and cultural projects with focus on modern and contemporary African Arts in a global context. This entails experience in working with and supporting international artists, curators and scholars.

In my profession, I work at the intersection of contemporary art and culture, linking the local with the global. I ensure the smooth execution of projects, from the initial idea to successful implementation. I collaborate closely with artists and institutions to realize creative, innovative and relevant projects that reflect the cultural richness and complexity of global art and diasporic identities. Through transcultural exchange, I aim to promote the diversity of worldviews, histories, aesthetics and their acceptance and appreciation.

My goal is through mindful collaboration, to realize cultural projects that are not only aesthetically pleasing, but also stimulate and enrich social discourse and contribute to processes of decolonization.

I completed my Master of Arts in African Culture and Society (Interdisciplinary African Studies) with majors in Curatorial Studies, Art History, Social and Cultural Anthropology at University of Bayreuth. During and after completing my M.A. degree, I have curated and managed selected art exhibitions as well as art and cultural projects at Iwalewahaus / University of Bayreuth (incl. conception, planning and organization) with focus on modern and contemporary African Arts in a global context. I completed my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography and Imaging at the renowned Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, CA (USA).

In addition, I have many years of professional work experience in the arts and creative fields in major cities of the Global North and South, including fifteen years in Los Angeles, San Francisco and New York and several years of work experience on the African continent in Ethiopia, Tanzania, and Namibia.
